Frankaborough is a working dairy, beef and arable farm. That means when you stay here, you stay on a farm that is genuinely alive. Derek and Linda run it, and they treat every guest like family because that is the only way they know how.

You get full access to roam the land as if it were your own. There are no roped-off zones and no laminated instruction sheets. Just a real place to explore.

The Accommodation

Frankaborough Cottage is a rustic converted farm dwelling sleeping up to six. Exposed beams, solid wood, log burner and proper durable finishes that mean you genuinely do not have to worry about muddy wellies. It is comfortable, warm and built for families who want to relax rather than preserve anything.

Catering is available on request, including a full breakfast with eggs from the farm.

Close to Everything, Far From the Crowds

Roadford Lake is nearby for kayaking and water walks. Dartmoor is on your doorstep for proper hikes and moorland exploration. Launceston is a short drive for anything you need. Bude and the North Cornwall coast are within reach for a beach day. Tavistock for markets and great food.

You are in the middle of some of the finest countryside in England. The farm is the base. Devon is the adventure.

Good to Know

This is a real working farm. It is rustic, it is alive and it is not sanitised. Children love that. Bring wellies, good layers and an appetite for proper fresh air.
